Julie Kirk Purcell is a world-class professional chalk artist who has completed hundreds of chalk art pieces at festivals and for corporate clients across the country and around the world. She has also led large teams of arts to complete enormous works of art. She has been a featured artist at the Denver Chalk Art Festival each year since the festival began, in 2003. 

 

Julie started chalk drawing in 1992 as a “bit of fun.” She now helps others learn about chalk drawing as a sought-after teacher and author of Sidewalk Canvas: Chalk Pavement Art at Your Feet.  She lives in southern California with her family and a myriad of animals.
